"Because the whole galaxy thinks I'm dead, and I want to keep it that way."
— Tenn to Palomo in Presumed Dead Season 1

Agent Tennessee[]

Agent Tennessee (Kevin) is the protagonist of an alternative story called Red vs Blue: Presumed Dead. He was an agent who worked for Project Freelancer and part of Mississippi's squad. Ever since Tenn's missing, the Director did not redact his files, but Tenn became a forgotten agent.

Overview[]

Before Agent Tennessee, Kevin died 500 years ago during WWIII. Mississippi also died, however, she was never Kevin's boyfriend in the first place. Her martial status and cause of death is unknown. The Artist, worked with Project Freelancer, resurrected them as A.I.s with their old memories altered, making them believed they worked for Project Freelancer as veterans or experts. The Artist then betrayed Project Freelancer by revealing Tenn's past and why he really joined the organization. After learning the truth, Tenn betrayed the organization and his friends after being blinded by deceit.

The Artist betrayed Project Freelancer only to create Tennessee as a trusted guardian of the Rooster Teeth universe.

Before Kevin became an artificial intelligence who believed to be a resurrected human, Kevin was a soldier ranked Private in World War III. Private Kevin was known for having multiple disabilities such as autism. With autism, he's a slow learner, and sometimes confused. During the mission to bomb an enemy base, Kevin stayed behind and guarded the bomb, even when his sergeant ordered him to retreat. Kevin's reason to stay behind was because his disabilities made him think he wasn't a perfect human being, that he would mess up everything for everybody. The bomb blew up the base and Kevin was the only known casualty. Kevin's cause of death was suicide.

Personality[]

As Tennessee, people hated his character so much, an individual broke his helmet causing him to be muted throughout the first season. Whenever Tenn appears, people annoyingly told him to shut up, despite being muted. He is the only Freelancer Agent known for having multiple disorders such as depression or anxiety. He is the least serious person.

Fate[]

Mississippi, possessing Massachusetts, thrown Tenn off the cliff at the very same moment where Carolina got her A.I.s taken and thrown off by Maine/Meta. While Carolina used her grappling hook, Tenn survived on a pile of snow without getting impaled by stalagmites. One year have passed, Tenn later discovered a base full of "Blues." After learning they're from Project Freelancer, he started killing all the soldier before stealing a pelican, leaving a soldier named "Jimmy" alive. In PD Season 2, Tenn joins the UNSC military police the same day where the simulation troopers were assigned to Blood Gulch Outpost in Season 1.

Whereabouts During Singularity[]

Ever since the Downfall of Project Freelancer, it means there are no more armor upgrades and no more weapons. Tenn spent the entire Red vs Blue Franchise by choosing not to fight. Tenn later found a new purpose, to becoming a delivery person who delivers ammunitions and weapons to other organizations or planets.

After PD Season 2, and visiting Wash at General Doyle General Hospital on Chorus (Seen at the end of Season 1), Tenn was in the middle of traveling through space and then got teleported to The Artist's office. The Artist explained that the universe was broken due to unknown reasons. While checking the problem, Tenn becomes a Multiversal Traveler who protect other universes and will return to his own world once the universe is fixed.

Teams[]

Mississippi's Squad:[]

Also known as the supply group, Tenn was assigned to his girlfriend's team to protect supplies delivered to Project Freelancer. They also fight against a group called the Obsidian Ghost, a squad of five each are named after "dire" animals. After Tenn have been recovered and Squad Tenn have disbanded, Tenn's memories have been wiped and doesn't know about the existence of the Mississippi's Squad.

This Team Includes: Mississippi (Leader), Tennessee, New Jersey, Kentucky, West and East Virginia, Missouri, New Hampshire (Traitor), and Massachusetts.

Tennessee's Recruit Team:[]

After Tenn's recovery, he was assigned as the leader of a team of recruits (Recruits literally wearing Recruit helmets). They are known as the assassination team. The assassination team members are Tenn's childhood friends back in elementary. Sadly after knowing the truth about himself, he found out his "childhood friends" are fakes. Are they clones of the original, or are they soldiers hired to pretend? Tenn killed most of them and their identities remain unknown. After finding out the truth, Tenn's memories began to recover the same way as Epsilon.

This Team Includes: Tennessee (Leader), Jon-Mark Castleman, Brycen White, Jared Norman, Riley and Regan Baker.

Tennessee's UNSC Squad:[]

Tenn's group never got along with each other, all they ever do was argue, making the group non-reliable. East Virginia snuck her way in to inform Tenn about Agent Oklahoma and convinced him to return. Agent Massachusetts attacking the UNSC is what convinced Tenn to come back. Tenn let his squad come along because Tenn wanted everyone to die.

This Team Includes: Tennessee (Leader), East Virginia, Chelsea, Jayden, and Taylor.

Weapons and Equipment[]

In the Chorus trilogy, Carolina mentioned the Space Pirates have acquired Freelancer equipment. The Enforcer armor worn by male Space Pirates, shields, and invisibility, most of them belong to Agent Tennessee.

Non Halo Weapons (Used only in Enforcer): [AP Crossbow], [Guillotine] (A name for a machete).

Artificial Intelligence:

Omicron: Omicron was an AI based on Church's Determination. Unlike Omega, Omicron's first ability allowed him to possess any vehicles as an autopilot. The second ability allowed Tennessee to use night, thermal, or x-ray. When activated, it also changed the color of his visor. (Legendary = Normal, Flood = Night, Torchbearer = Thermal, Midnight = X-Ray.)

Relationships[]

Mississippi (Avery): Tenn only followed Mississippi because she was his childhood crush. After Missi sacrificed herself to protect the pelican, Tenn stole Massachusetts’s battle rifle, and West's dual SMGs, and jumped out of the pelican to fight. After Tenn and Missi were terminated, their A.I. units were recovered by another group of agents, where Tenn had his memories wiped. Mississippi wore the red Void Dancer helmet and Commando armor which would later be upgraded to cobalt Enforcer armor and given to Tennessee.

In the Enforcer, Tenn found out he and Missi were both dead for a very long time. After killing the twins and later brought back his memories, Missi came back after taking over Massachusetts to terminate Tennessee, for discovering the truth. The Director created Mississippi to manipulate Tenn to succeed, to complete, and to achieve his goal.

After killing Massachusetts, Tenn, who had no clue whether A.I.s are ghosts or not, explained to Omicron that Mississippi was "suffering" that she was also manipulated just llike he had. He later took the chip out of Massachusetts and smashed it with his foot, asking her to rest.

Omicron: Omicron was an A.I. based off of the Director's Determination and was given to Tenn after Jersey's death. Because Tenn can't talk due to his broken helmet, Omicron always communicates with Mississippi's squad for Tenn. He can tell what Tenn is thinking or saying inside his broken helmet.

In the Enforcer, Tenn was guided by his helmet to the same classroom where Tex finds out she was the deceased Allison Church, and later found out about Mississippi and himself. After killing Brycen and Jared, Tenn fought the twins protecting the storage that was containing whatever was guiding Tenn to bring his memories back. Tenn found out his mysterious guide is Omicron, who was still connected inside Tenn's ODST helmet.

While fighting Oklahoma and Tenn was about to lose, Omicron would later discussed his "suicide plan" to split himself into two fragments. One that would help Tenn and the other will weaken Oklahoma. Tenn refuse to sacrifice Omicron for one victory, which Omicron points out that Tenn did care about others and that he was lying when he said he hated everyone. Before Tenn had a chance to hold Omicron, Omicron shattered into pieces and Tenn powered up and defeated Oklahoma.

New Jersey (Jon Rodriguez): New Jersey died in the first episode, so their relationship was unknown. New Jersey wore the Recruit armor with gold and green stripes.

West Virginia (Anna Boe): Anna was the overprotective twin sister of East. Even though Tenn had a serious but kind personality, West always viewed Tenn as another man who would attempt to hit on her sister. They rarely interact with one another.

During Tenn's time as a military police, East betrayed Oklahoma while pretending to work with Oklahoma until her sister came back. After the sisters reunited, West was sadly killed on the spot. Despite not knowing West due to memory wipe, Tenn let East have her moment with West while protecting the twins. West wore the Air Assault armor with white and cobalt stripes.

East Virginia (Annie Boe): Annie is the benevolent twin sister of West. Tenn never talked to East because of her overprotective sister. They rarely interact with one another. In Season 2, East had a flashback of the only time she and Tenn were together, where Tenn hands East a drink while watching over West in the infirmary. Virginia wears the Air Assault armor with blue and white stripes.

During Tenn's time as a military police, East betrayed Oklahoma and found Tenn to request for him to come back to fight against Project Freelancer. Tenn rejected her request, but Massachusetts raiding the UNSC was what led Tenn to come back. After the sisters reunited and West was killed in front of her, Annie redesignated her codename to just Virginia. After changing her codename, she later replaced her Air Assault armor with the Wetwork armor.

New Hampshire (Dov Ziniac): Tenn and Hampshire disliked each other. Tenn did nothing wrong, Hampshire angered him by bullying him and started the rivalry. Hampshire was revealed to be the traitor who went by the codename "Dire Snake," and attempted to kill Tenn with a pistol, but instead Missouri protected Tenn. Hampshire shared a similar fate as Connecticut, except Tenn stabbed him with a knife to the abdomen then to his throat. Hampshire wore the Scout armor with olive and orange stripes, which was later repainted and worn by Felix.

Missouri (Jose Santiago): Whenever Tenn gets bullied by Hampshire, Missouri always try and defend Tenn or comfort him. Tenn, who believed he is disliked by many, thought that Missouri was trying to trick him into gaining his trust only to get betrayed. After Hampshire's reveal, Missouri protected Tenn as his final plan to get him to accept him as a friend. Even though Tenn thought Missouri hated him, he killed Hampshire as payback. Tenn carried Missouri's corpse back to the pelican before Mississippi sacrificed herself. Missouri wore a white, with black stripes, Mark VI helmet with Ranger armor.

Kentucky: The only time Tenn talked in the radio was with Kentucky, the animations only showed Tenn bobbing his head up and down while using his comm. While running through the hallway, Ken told Tenn that he wanted to drink the beer that York brought back from Agent Illinois, sadly Ken was interrupted by a sniper shot. Kentucky's cause of death was a headshot. Tenn grabbed Kentucky's favorite shotgun and started firing until he ran out of shells and then dragged his body towards the squad. Once Tenn is alone after the short funeral, Tenn smashed a locker. Tenn left his shotgun on his body, making it look like he’s holding roses with both hands. Kentucky wore a red, with white stripes, Mark VI helmet and Soldier armor. At first his teammates suggested the colors as a joke until Kentucky took it seriously.

Dire Hawk: Dire Hawk is the sniper of the Obsidian Ghost as well as Kentucky's killer. After Kentucky died, Tenn carried his shotgun as his only goal was to avenge Ken. During a mission on the highway, Tenn followed Dire Hawk with a jetpack and after finally knocking her down, Tenn killed her with his shotgun. Mississippi failed to stop Tenn. Dire hawk wore the steel, with orange stripes, Anubis armor and was the only member who can fly.

Allen Stone (Dire Shark): They fought for the first time, they fought in the finale. The only thing Tenn is good at is making enemies. While battling against Tenn and Missi, Missi was blasted off the elevator with a rocket launcher which angered Tenn. Before firing again, Tenn snatched the rocket launcher and used it against him. Dire Shark first wore steel, with orange stripes, Halo 4 ODST armor.

In the Enforcer, he later returned wearing the Venator armor replacing steel with dark purple. Dire Shark was also upgraded, with prosthetic limbs that can detach or reattach with magnets, and challenged Tenn to a rematch. Allen shared a similar fate as Sharkface. Both wanted revenge on a specific agent and then later killed after the rematch.

Massachusetts (Jack Kramer): Massachusetts was a new recruit to Squad Tenn. Tenn would describe Mass as "unfair" and their rivalry started with a game of tag, where Mass always cross his fingers after reacting 2 or 3 seconds late. Massachusetts wore the Strider helmet and Rogue armor. In Season 1 his armor was originally white with blue stripes.

In the Enforcer, Mass appeared once and returned to throw Tenn off the cliff. In the Enforcer, his armor was changed to steel with blue stripes.

In Season 2, Mass along with Missi attacked the UNSC and manipulated Tenn to come back to Project Freelancer. After revealing that Mississippi was the mastermind, Tenn attempted to kill Mass with firearms until he ran out of ammunition. Tenn and Mass later engage to a hand-to-hand combat where Tenn finally stabbed him with the hidden bayonet. Before death, Mass's fingers were seen uncrossed until Tenn tagged him. Mass angered Tenn by showing him that his fingers were crossed "the entire time." In Season 2, his armor was black with red stripes as his final appearance.

North Dakota: He, along with Tenn, York, and Wash are lunch buddies. After the Downfall of Project Freelancer, Tenn still believes North is still alive.

New York: He, along with Tenn, North, and Wash are lunch buddies. After the Downfall of Project Freelancer, Tenn still believes York is still alive.

Washington: He, along with Tenn, North, and York are lunch buddies. After Season 15, Tenn heard that Wash was shot in the neck and is taken to the hospital on Chrous. Even though Tenn does not remember Ken because of memory wipe, he experienced deja vu as if this happened again. He rushed to Chorus for two reasons, to refuel the pelican and to visit Wash at the hospital without being spotted by Carolina.

Brycen White (Fake): Brycen White was a fake version of Kevin's friend since 2nd grade. Kevin knew Brycen who hunted deers for sport and who learned how to use guns at a young age. After Tenn learned the truth of who he and Avery was, Brycen was watching the whole time and ready to pull the trigger. Before Brycen died, he claimed that his "Recruit Team" are trainees of new agents. Brycen was Agent Wisconsin. His steel Recruit armor was identified with sage stripes.

Jared Norman (Fake): Jared Norman was a fake version of Kevin's best buddy since 2nd grade. Jared was part of Kevin and Jon Mark's friends as a trio, and was also Brycen's hunting friend. After the death of Fake Brycen, Jared tried to calm Tenn down as if he had no reason to kill. Tenn would later kill Jared and corrected him saying "Jon Mark is my best friend, and we are just buddies." Jared's steel Recruit armor was identified with green stripes.

Riley and Regan Baker (Fake): The Baker twins were fake versions of Kevin's friends since the beginning of middle school. Riley and Regan were twins who can be easily identified by the color of their glasses. Riley wears cyan and Regan wears brown. Sadly they stopped wearing glasses making the guessing game harder. After the death of Fake Brycen and Jared, Tenn fought the fake twins which is difficult since he is only capable of fighting one Freelancer Agent. The fighting lasted three to four minutes for Tenn to finally grab his magnum pistol and killed both twins.

Jon Mark (Fake): Jon Mark Castleman was a fake version of Kevin's best friend since 2nd grade. Tenn knew Jon Mark as a Christian friend and church buddies. After the death of Fake Brycen, Jared, and the twins, Fake Jon Mark became Agent Oklahoma and was in charge of Agent East and West, formerly part of Mississippi's Squad. In the Enforcer, Oklahoma's steel Recruit armor had gold stripes. In Season 2, Oklahoma wore the maroon, with gold stripes, Raijin helmet with Shinobi armor.

After the battle against Massachusetts, not only Oklahoma killed West, but Tenn also found out he was the one manipulating Mississippi. And Tenn blamed the Director for everything Oklahoma had done. During the battle, Oklahoma ripped Tenn's left forearm which Tenn later used his amputated arm to stab him. The battle would later become emotional as each time Tenn punched Oklahoma, he began to see flashbacks of his childhood friend. Their battle ended where they both stabbed each other with a knife. Oklahoma was finally killed while Tenn becomes inactive until the Director gave him a new body.

Dr. Leonard L. Church: Ever since New Jersey died, the director gifted Tenn the Omicron A.I. in Season 1.

After Tenn came back to Project Freelancer, Tenn stated that he knew why Project Freelancer was created in the first place. Tenn broke the Director's heart, explaining that Allison (Texas) was long dead and that he must let her sleep. Tennessee is revealed to be the reason why the Director is locked up in his office, rewatching the video of Allison's departure, where Carolina and Epsilon meet him in Season 10 Finale.

Trivia[]

  • Kevin was born in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
  • Carolina and Tenn both shared a similar fate. Both betrayed by their former allies, survived after being thrown off the cliff, joined the UNSC to fight Project Freelancer, and joined a team of idiots.
  • In Season 1, animations only, Tenn wears a full ODST armor and his armor color is silver with cobalt trims. It's possible Tenn's armor design is a reference to Captain Rex from Clone Wars, Tenn's armor is white due to The Artist's lack of ideas. Light blue is also his favorite color.
  • If you want to play as him in Halo 3, Tenn's armor consists of: ODST helmet, Scout shoulders, and CQB Torso.
  • In Halo: Enforcer (In Real Life; Halo 4 Version) Tenn wears the full Enforcer armor set. His armor color is cobalt (Similar as Church from Halo 3, not Halo 4 or 5.)
  • The armor color was based off of Diamond Freddy, a fanmade character for Five Nights At Freddy's and is currently a scrap idea.
  • In Halo 5, Tenn's armor as military police consists of: Military Police helmet, Nightfall armor, and a Legendary visor, and the only Military Police who wears cobalt stripes.
  • Tenn, back as an ex-agent, replaced the helmet with the Warmaster helmet. Tenn stated the Warmaster helmet belonged to Colorado, which he mentioned was a legend. His original armor color comes back as well.
  • Nearly at the end of Season 2, Tenn's Enforcer armor comes back and he wears the full set again. However, the black stripes are removed.
  • Tenn was originally going to wear the EOD helmet for his old armor. (The Artist almost plagiarized Captain Rex, which is the reason why Tenn wears the ODST helmet.)
